ASST. PASTOR EUNICE AJOKE ADANLAWO

The life of Mrs. Eunice Ajoke Adanlawo was one of extraordinary light a life marked by resilience, elegance, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family and to God.

Born on 24 August 1940, she was named Aribonaja, a name given because she arrived on a market day. She was baptized at four months old, beginning a lifelong journey of faith that shaped her character and her legacy.

She was the beloved daughter of Chief Jeremiah Olubila Ageh and Mrs. Esther Adeyemi Ageh, respected members of their community and St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Ifon. Eunice was the youngest of her mother’s five children and had several half-siblings. Though her father had three wives and many children, she became the only surviving child of Chief Ageh a unique role that shaped her into a woman of dignity, wisdom, and quiet strength.

Grandma Adanlawo,

It is still difficult to speak about you in the past tense, and even harder to accept that you have transitioned to glory. Your absence feels unreal, yet I take comfort in knowing that you are resting in the presence of the Lord.

You were truly a lover of God, deeply rooted in His Word, and you lived out your faith with grace, humility, and unwavering devotion. Your life was a reflection of your strong belief in God, and your knowledge of the Scriptures guided not only your own walk with Him but also the lives of everyone around you.

Your prayers, counsel, and gentle wisdom were a source of strength and encouragement to me. Though we will miss you in the Wisdom group, we are grateful for the life well lived. You will forever remain in our hearts 💕

Graceful elders (HOP) Calgary.

Grandma Adanlawo was epitome of genuine love of Jesus Christ. I first knew her when she came with husband of blessed memory when we were in West Wind. After passing on her husband and she had been coming House of Praise contributing to elders group her knowledge of Christ and also to always remember Naigeria in prayer to be better country. She was very good at sending good advice to the group on how to train grandchildren and be in peace with daughters and sons in laws. She was also sent some tips on how to be healthy in older age. She was a great contributor to elders group which we started feeling the gaps since she left to be with the Lord.
Rest in peace grandma and Almighty Lord Jesus be with the families and the Church of Christ you left.

I remember when I lost my grandmother and Ms Eunice, Leke, and Temi came to the house to check on me. When I opened the door Ms Eunice put her hands on my face, looked me straight in my eyes and told me it is well. Her eyes were teary. I felt the love, gentleness and comfort.
Sometimes I would be just talking to her in church- I mean I’m going on and on and on—-I forget to slow down because of my accent. Well Ms Eunice just let me get it all out….then when I ask her a question ….she look at me and burst out laughing! Then I burst out laughing too realizing that she probably didn’t understand everything i was saying because of my accent. Then I would hug her tight and she will give me a gentle pat. My hearts smiles at the special moments the two of us share. Forever in my heart Ms Eunice… gone but never forgotten. 💕

Dear Aunty Ajoke,
Today, we gather our hearts to remember and celebrate you, the woman who was never “just” an aunt, but the gentle, unwavering mother and grandmother our family was so blessed to have.
Your home was always open, your table always full, and your love always overflowing. You welcomed us with arms that felt like coming home, fed us with food that nourished more than our bodies, and guided us with wisdom that came from a life richly lived. Your laughter could lift the heaviest day, and your quiet strength held us all together through every trial.
You were our rock when the ground shook beneath us. In times of sorrow, sickness, and struggle, you stood firm, praying, encouraging, sacrificing,g never asking for anything in return. You carried our burdens as if they were your own, and because of you, we learned what true, selfless love looks like.
You spoiled us with the tenderness of a mother, and you raised us with the care of a mother, correcting us kindly when we needed it, beaming with pride when we made you proud.
Aunty, you were the heartbeat of our family. Even now, though you are no longer here with us in body, your love remains the thread that binds us. We feel you in every family gathering, in every shared story, and in every act of kindness we pass on because we learnt well from you.
Thank you for a lifetime of love poured out without measure. Thank you for being our strength, our comfort, our joy, and the beautiful soul who made our family whole.
Though our hearts ache with the thought of missing you, we find peace knowing you are at rest, watching over us with that same warm smile.
We love you forever. We will carry you in our hearts always.
Rest in peace, our dear Mother, our grandma, our Aunty in every way that truly mattered.
With all our love and gratitude.
Adieu Aunty,
Ageh Adedoyin John and Family.

A wonderful mother-in-law
You have fought a good fight and won the race, now resting in the bosom of our Lord Jesus. Your love for simplicity, Christlikeness, and the Word of God was a true reflection of your character. We will forever miss you. Yet, we find comfort in knowing that you are in a better place, free from sorrow and grief, where you can fully engage in what you love most. Singing, dancing, and praising the Lord. Sleep on, mum.
